Today I just have to crow a little bit, give Christa of Giggle On! a virtual high five, and to point out for the rest of you that you don’t have to be a geeky-programmer-type like me to realize your SEO goals.

Christa made the #1 position in Google for her main keyword phrase two days after she implemented the action items she took away from her blog consulting session on Tuesday of this week! Topic? DIY SEO: Do-It-Yourself SEO. I had told her I was writing the series and she could not wait. So, the high five is for reaching her objective.

But Christa deserves more than a virtual high five for this. Why? Because she took action. THAT is what sets her apart – she went beyond reading up, researching and thinking about implementing SEO strategies on her blog – she did it.

Does she understand all the ins and outs of SEO now? Nope. Not by a long shot. Ask her.

Was her head spinning from information overload just a bit? Yup. She took hella notes! Fast and furious. (She got the Cliff Notes version of the entire series crammed into 45 minutes.)

Is she a geeky-programmer-type like me? Nope. She’s a professional in her field, for sure, but this is a whole new world for her, complete with a whole new vocabulary.

Was she overwhelmed at the idea of taking on the topic of SEO herself? Yup. But she was determined to forge ahead anyway. (She’s kinda crazy like that…and it is definitely a part of her charm. She’s fun.)

So if you’re looking to improve your search engine rankings, read the series as it’s published and do the homework. Even better, subscribe to the feed or get delivery via email so you don’t miss a step. Ask questions via the comments or contact me for one-on-one consulting if you’ve got ants in your pants like Christa did.

With this victory under her belt, I fully expect to see Christa ranking well for the rest of her keywords sooner than later, and reaping the benefits of all that search engine love comin’ her way.

YOU ROCK, Christa! Don’t give up…Giggle On!
